Olive's little buddies
Happily, Olive has a lot of little pals close in age to her. Handsome, blue-eyed Adrian is two-and-a-half months older than Olive. The babies accompanied Stephanie and me to our girls'-night-in birthday bash for Aimee and Alyson (complete with chinese take-out and a chick flick), while the hubbies stayed home with the toddlers.

Pappa & Mummy's visit
A week after my Mom returned to PA, Roby's parents came for a 3-week visit! They were helpful while we continued to adjust to life with a toddler and newborn. Man, what would we do without our parents? O was thrilled to have Nana, Ammachy & Appachan visit for weeks at a time! Clearly he would love if we all lived near one another. I wonder if the future ever holds this for us? We are always saddened when family leave...we feel so far away.
Meeting their fifth grandchild for the first time

Owen "helping" with Olive's bath
As part of Roby's Malayalee culture, the grandfather ties a black string and gold chain around the grandchild's belly on the baby's 28th day of life.
We are forever trying to get the perfect family shots to share with the grandparents. Every year we make my mom and Roby's parents an ofoto calendar with various pics from throughout the year. Thankfully we have many good shots to choose from!
We had to bribe Owie with freshly baked oatmeal raisin cookies for him to comply with taking these pictures! Olive requested a full belly and seemed to deal with her photo shoot pretty well!

I wanna be like Dada!
One night while Roby's parents were visiting, Owen went over to Roby's luggage (he had just returned from Austin for Lisa and Shoney's wedding...congratulations!) and started pulling out clothes. He declared that he wanted to be "like Dada and go to work." I helped him adjust the clothes to fit him by a ton of rolling and using a chip clip to keep the pants up in the back. ;) He, of course, also wanted socks-which came up to his thighs-and Roby's hat, watch & shoes. Here are some pics of the dapper mini-Roby!
Choppity, chop. chop.
So I did it. After, oh, 1,000 years I took the plunge. I chopped my long, curly locks opting for a more modern look. Yes, me, the girl who gets her hair cut every few years and highlighted about every 7. Shocked? Me too. Hmmm. Still not used to it, but I think I like it! I was able to donate my hair, which makes it all worth it. Besides, I can always grow it back!
